Report: Dybala responds fan when asked to stay at Juventus

Tottenham Hotspur were heavily linked with a move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala in the last few days of the summer transfer window (Standard).

The move fizzled out on the last day of the window after it was claimed that Juventus pulled out of the deal (BBC).

The 25-year-old was also said to be on the radar of Manchester United, with the Old Trafford outfit but pulled out of a possible move when they discovered the costs along with the fact that the player wanted to remain at Juventus (Guardian).

With the transfer window closed for any new arrivals at Premier League clubs until January 1st, the only opportunity which Dybala has of moving is to another European club with the likes of the French and Spanish windows open until September 2nd.

However, it appears that Dybala could be set to stay with the Serie A giants when he was said to have reassured a Juventus fan about his future.

According to Sport, Dybala said “No, no,” when a fan told him “Don’t go,” after today’s training session which suggests that he will remain at the Old Lady.

Opinion

If Dybala is to remain at Juventus, it could potentially be good news for Tottenham should they wish to rekindle their interest in January or next summer.
