Report: French club are in talks with the agents of one Tottenham player

Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain have now opened negotiations with Harry Kane’s entourage regarding a summer transfer.

Over the last week, multiple French outlets have talked up the chances of PSG making a move for Kane.

The first such update came from Foot Mercato (16 June), who claimed that the Parisians were keen on adding firepower to their squad following Lionel Messi’s departure and due to the uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s future, with Kane’s name said to be near the top of their wishlist.

The outlet claimed that PSG’s strategic advisor Luis Campos had even discussed the possibility of a transfer with Kane’s representatives.

This was followed by an update on Le Parisien on Monday (via Sport Witness), which claimed that the Ligue 1 giants’ president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is in favour of the idea and is ‘pushing internally’ for the Tottenham man to be signed.

Moretto has now taken to social media to claim that PSG are ‘already negotiating’ with Kane’s representatives.

However, the journalist added that the contacts are still at a preliminary stage and that ‘nothing concrete’ has been discussed between the French club and Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

I would not be opposed to the idea of cashing in on Kane this summer and giving the funds to Postecoglou to rebuild the squad.

However, I think it is highly unlikely that the striker would consider moving to France.

The 29-year-old would probably want to let his contract run down and keep his options open for next summer.
