It has been somewhat of a whirlwind week at Tottenham Hotspur following the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino a week ago.
The Argentine was succeeded by former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
It remains to be seen if the Portuguese will look to make changes to his squad in January after Pochettino kept a consistent nucleus to his squad over his five and a half years in charge.
Experiened German football journalist Kevin Hatchard has claimed during an appearance on talkSPORT that Spurs are keen on 24-year-old Schalke goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.
The 6 foot 4 inch stopper made his Bundesliga debut at the age of 19 and was made captai of Schalke by former Huddersfield boss David Wagner ahead of the current campaign (Bundesliga).
“One whisper has come my way…”
“They are keeping an eye on Nübel. He has got a Neuer vibe about him.” 🧤
