Todd Kline resigns from Tottenham Hotspur role

When Kline was first hired by Spurs, it was reported that one of his main duties would be to find a stadium naming rights deal for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Standard).

However, almost exactly three years later, the stadium is still without a mega-money sponsorship deal and Tottenham are now without a Chief Commercial Officer.

The Spurs stadium has been open since 2019, making it a half-decade using the default name of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite Daniel Levy’s desire for a multi-year, multi-million-pound deal.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I’m sure there is more to this story behind the scenes. Perhaps there is a difference in opinion on what Spurs can get for the stadium naming rights. If Daniel Levy has set a minimum figure and Kline does not believe it to be possible, it could explain his resignation. Alternatively, it could be a completely personal decision. We don’t know at this point.
