Tottenham Hotspur could face competition from Leeds United this summer if the club still hold an interest in signing Portuguese international William Carvalho.
The 28-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham along with Premier League rivals West Ham United, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers (Transfer20).
Leeds’ return to the Premier League following a sixteen-year absence is expected to see Marcelo Bielsa’s side look to bolster their ranks ahead of the new campaign with a new report from Transfer20 claiming they hold an interest in the Real Betis player.
Carvalho, who operates a a holding midfielder is not expected to push for a move away from the La Liga outfit but the financial pressure of the coronavirus pandemic could see Betis be prepared to sell for around £22.5 million after previously snubbing an offer from Leicester.

It would seem unlikely that Daniel Levy would sanction a bid of £22.5million for a player who is already 28 and could have a limited re-sale value.
