Report: Levy tells Mourinho the earliest he is prepared to sell Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur wasted no time in replacing Mauricio Pochettino after confirming the appointment of Jose Mourinho less than 24 hours following the Argentine’s departure.

Mourinho was seen on the training pitch yesterday afternoon as he and his backroom staff put the players through their paces for the very first time.

The Mirror report that Mourinho has also held talks with individual senior players at the club including Harry Kane.

The report claims that Mourinho has already met with the Spurs marksman where he outlined what he expects from the 26-year-old.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is also said to have already told Mourinho that Kane will not be sold until 2021 at the very earliest and the Portuguese is confident that he can end the club’s eleven year wait for silverware and help deliver the striker’s first major club honour.

With the club already having been knocked out of the Carabao Cup and already twelve points behind Manchester City who occupy fourth place in the Premier League, the FA Cup and Champions League remain the only opportunities for success this season.

Kane has previously stated that he will remain at the club for as long as they continue to match his ambitions (ESPN).
