Report: Player linked with summer Spurs switch could be set to play with Trippier

The summer transfer window saw Tottenham Hotspur linked with enough players to certainly fill more than two football teams.

While Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy were able to bring in Tanguy Ndombele for a club record fee along with Giovani Lo Celso, Jack Clarke and Ryan Sessegnon, there were some rumoured targets who fizzled out.

One player who was heavily linked with a possible move to North London after helping Spain to success in European Championship Under-21 was Dani Olmo, who was tipped with a £22.5million switch (Mucho Deporte).

The midfielder still has two years remaining on his current deal with Dinamo Zagreb, who he joined from Barcelona in 2015 (Metro).

After a move to Spurs failed to materialise, Olmo is now being rumoured to be on the radar of Atletico Madrid before the Spanish transfer window closes on September 2nd (AS).

A return to La Liga could see Olmo link up at Atletico with former Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier who completed a £20million move to Spain this summer (Telegraph).
