Report: Player said to be on the verge of move to Spurs is self-confessed Arsenal fan

Tottenham Hotspur will not have Harry Kane to rely on to find the back of the net for the majority of the remainder of the season.

The Spurs hitman tore his left hamstring during the New Year’s Day loss at Southampton and will have to undergo surgery to repair the injury which will keep him out of action until at least April.

The Sun claimed late last night that they have agreed an initial £23.8million deal with AC Milan for striker Krzysztof Piatek.

Reports have emerged that the Polish forward grew up supporting North London rivals Arsenal as a child.

Piatek admitted in an interview with Italian news outlet Tuttosport in September 2019 that he admired the likes of Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp whilst being impressed with the style of football which Arsene Wenger played.

Opinion

Most Spurs fans certainly will not be impressed to have a Gooner within their ranks, but if he can help fill the goalscoring void left by Harry Kane they will soon start to warm to him.
