Report: Premier League side make Eriksen approach; put off by £300,000-a-week wages

Christian Eriksen has endured a difficult twelve months at Inter Milan following his departure from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dane completed a £16.9million move last January (BBC) and claimed that he had decided to join the Serie A giants after claiming that he has a bigger chance of winning trophies after experiencing seven years in North London without a major honour to his name (Sky Sports).

He would have been hoping to make a big impact in Italy under manager Antonio Conte but has been limited to just four Serie A starts this season (transfermarkt).

Eriksen has been linked with a potential return to Tottenham on a loan deal until the end of the season with the player said to be keen to re-join his old side (Sky Sports).

Leicester City have reportedly made an approach for Eriksen, who has been told he can leave this month and were put off by the £300,000-a-week he earns at the San Siro (The Telegraph).

Brendan Rodgers’ side have enjoyed an impressive start to the season and currently find themselves in third place in the table, five points ahead of Spurs.
