Report: Rumoured Spurs target not looking for transfer

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Thorgan Hazard has spoken of his content to remain at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Hazard was linked with a move to Tottenham by German outlet Bild last month, but has now stated that he will not be moving anywhere during the current transfer window.

The 25-year-old is the younger brother of Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard and was at Stamford Bridge between 2012-2015 but failed to make a single senior appearance for the club.

After a loan spell at Monchengladbach, the German club finally signed him for £5.9million in 2015 (The Sun).

When asked about his future, Hazard played down the prospect of leaving during the winter transfer window and even hinted that he could possibly extend his stay by signing a new deal in the summer.

He told the official Monchengladbach site: “I am not thinking about a transfer or a new deal right now,”

“I cannot say what will happen after the end of this season. I may possibly extend my contract as I’m very happy here and family are also settled. Max and I will speak about this when it is the right time.”

Hazard’s contract expires at the end of next season and the Bundesliga outfit will be keen to sort his future sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, The Mail are claiming that Borussia Dortmund have begun negotiations with Monchengladbach about a possible deal.
