Report: Spurs 15-year-old is already rated highly by the England camp

The Standard have revealed that Tottenham academy starlet Luca Williams-Barnett is thought of quite highly by the England youth set-up.

The outlet has named a list of London’s top 50 youngsters who are yet to turn 18 and as many as seven Tottenham players make the cut.

The list unsurprisingly features names such as Mikey Moore, Callum Olusesi, and Tyrese Hall, who are quite highly rated at Hotspur Way and whose reputation have grown considerably over the last 12 months.

Interstingly, another youngster is talked about in quite glowing terms in the report – the versatile attacker Luca Williams-Barnett.

Although the 15-year-old is an attacking midfielder by trade, he can play in either flank and has featured quite a bit on the right lately.

The teenager has starred for Tottenham’s Under-16 side and it is revealed that he is now starting to turn quite a lot of heads with his performances.

The Standard say that Williams-Barnett is considered a ‘top prospect’ not just at Spurs but also by those who work with the England set-up.

The publication describes the youngster as a ‘spectacular finisher’ who is also known for his ability to cut in from the wing and carry the ball.

While there has understandably been a lot of focus on the Under-21 talents at Tottenham knocking on the door of the first-team, there are several even more exciting starlets now coming through the ranks of Under-18s and Under-16 set-up, who will grow in prominence over the next year or two.
