Report: Spurs and Arsenal monitor highly-rated Manchester United starlet

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be monitoring the progress of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

The 21-year-old has impressed this season during his loan spell at Sheffield United, which is said to have alerted Bayern Munich and Juventus.

According to ESPN, Spurs and Arsenal are both tracking the England Under-21 international along with some of Europe’s elite.

Henderson has helped the Blades to keep 10 clean sheets this season which has seen them rise to third place in the Championship table.

He joined United in 2011 aged 14, but he has not made an appearance for the first-team and currently finds himself behind David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Lee Grant in the goalkeeping pecking order at Old Trafford.

Paulo Gazzaniga has been one of Tottenham’s surprise performers this season when he has deputised for Hugo Lloris in goal.

The performances of the Argentina international have seen him displace Michel Vorm as Lloris’ understudy.

Whether Spurs would look to recruit Henderson when 27-year-old Gazzaniga looks a worthy successor to Lloris remains to be seen.
