Report: Spurs could make one of their biggest signings and it isn’t even a player

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be active in the summer transfer market, however, one of their most important potential additions could be a member of the backroom staff.

France Football are reporting that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to recruit Monaco’s mental coach Bouabdellah “Bob” Tahri.

The 40-year-old is a former middle-distance and long-distance runner who has competed in the Olympics on two occasions for France.

During his 20-year running career, he won bronze at the World Championships in 2009 and silver at the European Champions in 2010.

Tahri has used his experience of mentally preparing for big races by turning his attention to preparing Monaco’s players to get in the right mindset for their matches.

Spurs will have to battle with PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt to secure the services of Tahri and are so far said to be leading the race.
