Report: Spurs could re-visit move for striker in January

Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik and could make an approach to sign him in January, according to Area Napoli.

The Polish international has been frozen out of the first team picture at the Serie A side and will not be in a position to play club football until at least the start of 2021.

Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso left Milik out of his Serie A and Champions League squads.

Milik’s contract is set to expire next summer with the player said to have told those close to him of his desire to leave when the transfer window reopens, with the player open to agreeing a pre-contract move in January or whether Napoli would prefer to recoup a transfer fee rather than seeing him walk away for nothing.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to North London during the summer but a deal failed to come off (The Sun).

Spurs, who were without adequate cover for Harry Kane ended up signing Carlos Vinicius from Benfica on a season long loan deal.

The Brazilian impressed with his link play during his debut in last Thursday’s Europa League victory against LASK.
