Report: Spurs hold interest in Premier League right-back as potential Aurier replacement

A new right-back could be on Tottenham Hotspur’s shopping list this summer as part of the club’s rebuild.

Sky Sports have claimed that Tottenham have renewed their interest in Norwich City’s Max Aarons.

The England Under-21 international is valued at around £30million by the Premier League newcomers and was linked with a move to North London in 2019 when Spurs were considering him as a replacement for Kieran Trippier who left for Atletico Madrid.

Manchester United and Everton both have Aarons on their radar, with Norwich keen to get him to put pen to paper on a new improved contract despite him still having three years to run.

Spurs are also said to be interested in Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey, however, the Seagulls rate the 20-year-old in the region of £50million.

Serge Aurier has twelve months left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while revealing last month that he has no intention of penning an extension and claimed he has already agreed the conditions of his exit with the club’s board (L’Equipe).

Aarons would be a good signing and would add pace which has been missing on the right flank since the departure of Kyle Walker.
