Report: Spurs keen on midfielder after extensive scouting

Get French Football News have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

The report suggests that Jose Mourinho’s side have extensively scouted the 22-year-old, who played 25 times in Ligue 1 last season only to see his side suffer relegation (transfermarkt).

Toulouse are said to value the Ivorian in the region of €15million to €20million and do not feel under pressure to lose the player ahead of the new campaign.

Tottenham have already recruited two players ahead of the new season following the arrivals of Southampton’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart on a free transfer.

While Sangare is certainly an up and coming talent, the arrival of another holding midfielder is not exactly what we need at the moment.

There are bigger priorities that we should be focusing on including a right-back and another striker who can help to take the goalscoring burden off Harry Kane’s shoulders.
