Report: Spurs preparing £100m transfer package

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a £100 million package to sign Giovani Lo Celso according to reports.

Football Insider claim that Spurs are set to try and persuade the La Liga side part with the Argentina international by offering a £60 million transfer fee along with a contract worth £150,000 a week on a five year contract.
Spurs have already been active in the transfer market this summer having brought both Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele to the club last Monday.
The report suggests that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are leading the race for Lo Celso, who is also attracting interest from Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.
The Spurs boss has given the green light to bring the 23-year-old to North London where he could potentially replace Christian Eriksen with the Dane’s future still shrouded in uncertainty.
Lo Celso impressed in Spain last season when he scored sixteen goals and provided six assists from 45 matches in all competitions.
Opinion
If by some miracle Spurs could keep hold of Eriksen and also recruit Lo Celso, it would be a huge post that would certainly make us Premier League contenders.
Spurs have relied too much on Eriksen’s creativity alone which has certainly affected us when the Dane is off his game. Bringing in Lo Ceslo would add another dimension to our attack.
