Report: Spurs want man who played just 13 games for Liverpool last season

Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Tottenham will consider a move for Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak this summer after he spent a period on loan with Liverpool last season.

Kabak joined Liverpool on loan in the January transfer market as the Merseyside club were struggling with injuries in the centre of defence.

Unfortunately, Kabak never quite hit the ground running with the Reds and, subsequently, the Premier League giants chose not to trigger the £18m option to buy.

Tuttomercatoweb now claim that Tottenham, Roma, Lazio and Napoli may come calling for the Turkish international this summer. He is said to be worth around £22.5m in the current market.

Kabak played just nine Premier League games and four Champions League games for the then reigning Premier League champions (TransferMarkt).

Sky Germany reported in January, when Kabak eventually signed for Liverpool, that Spurs had also shown interest in the defender.

Spurs Web Opinion:

For the same reason that Liverpool chose not to sign him for £18m, I do not think that Spurs will look towards Kabak this summer. He struggled in the Premier League and we already have plenty of defenders of a similar level, we need a leader who can take control of the back line.
