Report: Tottenham and Chelsea midfield target may be available for just £26m

According to Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Calciomercato), Inter Milan would be willing to sell Marcelo Brozovic for just €30m (£26.4m) in the summer.

Multiple Italian publications have reported during the past three or four weeks that Tottenham are leading the race to sign Brozovic, who is now said to be considered expendable by Inter Milan (Inter Live).

The speculation regarding the Croat’s future seems to be intensifying as we get closer to the summer, with Gazzetta dello Sport revealing a couple of days ago that the Lilywhites may face competition from the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona for the experienced midfielder.

Those exact four clubs are now credited with an interest in Brozovic by Corriere dello Sport, who state that the two London clubs and the two La Liga giants are circling the 30-year-old.

The publication is even more emphatic in its suggestion that this will be the midfielder’s last season at the San Siro, stating that Inter are ‘preparing to say goodbye’ to the player.

Perhaps, the most surprising part of the report is their assertion that Inter value Brozovic at just €30m (£26.4m) despite the fact that he is contracted to the club until 2026.

There will certainly be plenty of interest in Brozovic, particularly from the Premier League, if he is available for as little as £26m. Inter will likely look to get a bidding war going for the midfielder so that they can pocket close to £35m.
