Report: Tottenham man is at the centre of a six-way transfer tussle this week

90 min have claimed that six different clubs, including four from the Premier League, have expressed an interest in signing Djed Spence on loan.

Multiple sources (Fabrizio Romano and The Sun) now indicate it is only a matter of time before Pedro Porro becomes a Tottenham player, with the North London club thought to be on the verge of reaching an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for the Spaniard.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold revealed on Wednesday that amidst Porro’s impending arrival, Spence has been given the green light to leave on loan, with the journalist adding that Brentford and Leicester City have expressed interest in the 22-year-old.

Gold’s assertion was contradicted by Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas, who took to social media yesterday to claim that neither the Bees nor the Foxes are in the race for the Tottenham man.

90 min have now revealed that Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Southampton and West Ham United have all expressed an interest in signing Spence on loan.

The publication adds that Championship table toppers Burnley are keen on taking the England Under-21 international to Turf Moor while Middlesbrough are looking to take him back to the Riverside Stadium.

The Evening Standard also reported that Spurs have turned down a bid from Brentford as their loan offer included an option to buy the wing-back.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Tottenham would want to loan Spence out to a Championship club as they would want him to prove himself in the top flight. Spurs will likely be looking to seek some sort of guarantees regarding regular game time from the aforementioned Premier League sides before agreeing to a loan move.
