Report: Tottenham player set to follow Skipp and Dier by signing new deal

Japhet Tanganga is set to become the latest player to commit his future to Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Evening Standard.

Spurs have already confirmed contract extensions for the like of Eric Dier and Oliver Skipp with respective deals with will keep both players at the club until 2024.

Tanganga is in the last year of his contract in North London with the academy graduate currently earning £1,000-per-week.

The 21-year-old who came through the Spurs academy ranks is said to be close to agreeing a new deal which will include a significant increase on his current wages.

Tanganga has not played for Spurs since the resumption of the Premier League campaign after suffering a stress fracture of his back, but has been named on the bench for the wins against Newcastle United and Leicester City.

The Athletic recently claimed that talks between Tanganga and the club had stalled over a £15,000-a-week new deal.
