Some Spurs fans urge Pochettino to make surprise change to his team this evening

Tottenham Hotspur go into tonight’s crunch Champions League quarter final second leg against Manchester City without their prolific striker Harry Kane.

The Spurs frontman severely injured his ankle during the 1-0 win in the first leg at the new stadium last Tuesday evening which is expected to rule him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Kane suffered a similar injury in mid-January which kept him on the sidelines for over a month. In his absence, Heung-min Son stepped up to the plate to take on the burden of finding the back of the net.

Lucas Moura is another player who has caught the eye with his hat-trick display against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Experienced Spanish striker Fernando Llorente has had his fair share of critics during his time in North London but did show glimpses in Kane’s absence of why he was once regarded as one of the best strikers in Europe.

Some Spurs fans have called for Llorente to take his place in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven at the Etihad
