Spurs confirm midfielder has left the club on a permanent transfer

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Tashan Oakley-Boothe has left the club to join Stoke City.

The 19-year-old midfielder has joined the Championship outfit on a permanent deal.

Oakley-Boothe made just one senior appearance in Spurs colours which came in the 1-0 EFL Cup win over Barnsley in 2017 when he came on as a substitute.

The central midfielder is able to play also as a holding midfielder as well as further up the pitch or on the right-hand side.

A number of academy players have headed out of the door during the current month with the majority being loan deals including Brandon Austin, Anthony Georgiou, Shilow Tracey and Kaziah Sterling.

The 19-year-old has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham’s Development Squad and Under-19s this season.

He moves to the bet365 Stadium with Stoke currently finding themselves in 20th place in the Championship table and are currently in the middle of a battle against relegation.
