Spurs flop attracting interest ahead of summer exit

Fernando Llorente could be set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer with China a potential option for the former World Cup winner.

The 33-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Spurs since his transfer from Swansea City last summer.  Fans thought that he could come in and take some of the burden off Harry Kane in front of goal, but it just has not worked out.

His languid style and lack of pace really do not suit our style of high pressing under Mauricio Pochettino and personally, I feel he’s holding back the likes of Reo Griffiths and Kaziah Sterling from potentially being given a chance in League Cup outings.

Recently, Llorente’s brother, Chus told Italian news outlet, CalcioNapoli24, that “We absolutely won’t renew with Tottenham.”

Spanish media are now linking Llorente with a lucrative move to China, with Marca claiming that he is now mulling over a move to the far east.
