Spurs legend calls for action to be taken against Liverpool’s Salah

Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has called for the Football Association and Premier League to investigate the alleged punch which Liverpool star Mohamed Salah threw against Stoke City.

The Egyptian international lashed out against Stoke defender Bruno Martins Indi during the first half of the stalemate which was missed by referee Andre Marriner and there was no surprise when Match of the Day also omitted the incident from their highlights.

If Dele Alli had done this, we all know that the authorities would take retrospective action and issue him with a ban. However, we all know that this won’t happen with this season’s Premier League poster boy.

Roberts rightly believes that Salah’s conduct should be analysed and action should be taken against the forward, which he revealed in a Tweet.

If you haven’t seen the incident, look at the video below and make up your own mind.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Hey Graham R., u can see Salah’s missed punch but, U fail to see the defender hitting him on the back before that..
Grow up blooddy Spurs-blinded.. U gutted that he pipped the PFA Player of the Year Award before your player.
Try to buy all our targets again this summer to compete with us. You’ll kiss the dust again I swear..

  2. Typical Liverpool thugs happy to throw punches not able to take criticisms! Paisley must be turning in his grave !

Well said Robbo these idiots have not got a clue!

    COYS !!!

  3. This should not really be about who’s come out and pointed out that retrospective punishment should be dealt but that an attempt to deliberately hit someone has been missed would these people wether there liverpool fans or not be saying this if if one of there club legends had said this me thinks not
As for the guy who said the punch attempt missed would seem to suggest that that’s ok coz it missed oh dear just because something didn’t have the outcome that it could have had doesn’t make it ok
