Spurs legend seriously ill in hospital

Former Tottenham manager and player Glenn Hoddle is seriously ill and has been taken to hospital after appearing as a pundit on BT Sport on Saturday.

Presenter Mark Pougatch said the football results show BT Score had been cancelled as a result of Hoddle’s serious condition.

The illness happened on the Spurs legend’s 61st birthday.

Hoddle won the Uefa Cup, and two FA Cups with Spurs in his playing career.

Capped 53 times by England, 44 as a Spurs, making him our most capped England player. Hoddle initially joined the club on the recommendation of striker Martin Chivers in 1975 and went on to play almost 500 competitive games before moving to Monaco in 1987.

We would like to send our best wishes to Glenn and his family. Get well soon.
