Tottenham Hotspur contacted Manchester United to make enquiries over a move for Anthony Martial, according to the Daily Express.
The striker who missed out on involvement in the French World Cup squad has been continually linked with moves to Spurs and Juventus over the past few weeks.
United are said to be reluctant to let the 22-year-old leave Old Trafford and have failed to reach an agreement over a new contract, despite holding discussions over the past eight months.
Martial would cost in excess of £60 million if United were to ever consider selling the former Monaco man, and it would be highly unlikely if they were to sell to a Premier League rival.
As much as I would love to see Martial tearing it up in a Spurs shirt, I really cannot see it happening.
