Spurs miss out on another key transfer target

Tottenham Hotspur fans have seen the club miss out on yet another transfer target after Bordeaux confirmed that Malcom has left the club to join AS Roma.

The 21-year-old Brazilian has moved to Italy for a reported €32million transfer fee, with a further €4 million in bonus-related extras.

What is frustrating is that we are crying out for natural width in our team. Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is nowhere near the mark, Erik Lamela will have been a Tottenham player for five years in August, yes five years and what has he really done of note to justify his £25.8 million fee?

Lucas Moura has hardly been given a chance and it will be interesting to see what role he has to play after he has a full pre-season at the club, regardless, we still need more players who can natural width and create chances for us in the final third. When you look at our bench, we have very few attacking options who can come on and try and take a game by the scruff of its neck.

Who knows when Levy will finally put his hand in his pocket, it’s becoming a very frustrating transfer window.
