Spurs to move for Lemar?

Tottenham Hotspur are still in the race to sign AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar, according to French TV show Telefoot.

North London rivals Arsenal are rumoured to have had a bid rejected for the 22-year-old as it was considered to be well below their valuation of the French international.

Every Spurs fan knows that we are crying out for some natural width in our team. Erik Lamela’s fitness remains a concern, while NKoudou has done little and angered fans with his recent photo of which he was wearing a Chelsea shirt.

Lemar is just the sort of addition we need to our squad. He scored 9 goals and set up a further 10 during the last campaign.

With Liverpool also said to be keen, Tottenham need to move fast if they are to land their man, otherwise it could be yet another case of a ‘nearly’ signing for our beloved club.

It would be massively frustrating if we cannot beat Liverpool and Arsenal to his signature. Liverpool are already awash with wide talent, while Arsenal can only offer Europa League football.

Come on Levy, get the chequebook out.
