Spurs pair to withdraw from international duty

Tottenham Hotspur pair Harry Winks and Harry Kane are set to withdraw from the England squad, according to the Daily Mirror.

Midfielder Winks was forced off after 45 minutes of the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday with an ankle injury, while Kane has been managing a hamstring strain for the past few weeks.

Both players underwent scans today, Winks for his foot injury, with Kane having a scan on his leg after sustaining a blow to it at Wembley, yesterday.

Withdrawal will mean both players will miss the friendliest against Brazil and Germany, but with Tottenham facing Arsenal in the North London derby a week on Saturday, I know which game I’d prefer to see the pair be ready for!

Hugo Lloris is also missing from the French squad with a groin problem, while Toby Alderweireld has been at Hotspur Way receiving treatment for his injured hamstring.
