Spurs are also poised to make an £8m move for Paris St Germain’s 26-year-old midfielder Stephane Sessegnon.
Sessegnon has already stated that he wishes to leave the French club and has been linked with a switch to White Hart Lane.
The Benin international could arrive if Harry Redknapp decides to offload Jamie O’Hara and Jermaine Jenas as he continues to overhaul his midfield, following the signing of Sandro.
Sessegnon said: “I want to move out of PSG, they know it, I know it.â€
