Spurs star provides injury update ahead of Liverpool clash

Hugo Lloris has revealed that there is a possibility he could return to the Tottenham Hotspur side to face Liverpool on Saturday.

Understudy Michel Vorm took the place of the Spurs captain for the 2-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road in our last Premier League outing, due to a thigh problem sustained by Lloris which also saw him miss France’s international fixtures against Germany and Holland.

The World Cup winner will be looking to move on from the embarrassment of his drink-driving episode which saw him earlier today appear in court after admitting being more than twice the drink-drive limit when he was stopped by police in central London.

The Tottenham club captain is hopeful that following further recovery this week, he could be ready to take his place between the posts at Wembley.

He told ESPN: “Do I have a return date? Not yet. We’re working hard to come back strong and as quickly as possible.

“There’s perhaps a chance for this weekend, but we’ll see depending on how things go this week.”

With the visit of unbeaten Liverpool this weekend, Spurs fans will be hoping that Lloris can shake off the thigh issue.
