Spurs Team News vs Watford: Major injury blow for Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Hugo Lloris will miss trip to Watford on Sunday with a thigh problem.

The Spurs skipper featured in the 3-0 win at Manchester United on Monday despite his charge for drink driving, but will miss the match at the Hornets after picking up the problem.

Harry Kane is expected to deputise as captain in the Frenchman’s absence, with Michel Vorm more likely to fill the void than Paulo Gazzaniga.

Elsewhere, Moussa Sissoko is also ruled out (no, he’s not on a plane to Istanbul on transfer deadline day), he currently has a hamstring strain while Juan Foyth is still rehabbing his thigh problem.

Turning our attention to some good news, Victor Wanyama is back in full training after his knee scare, while there will be a late decision made on Erik Lamela after he tweaked his hamstring during the warm-up at Old Trafford on Monday night.
