Tottenham Hotspur are considering a £6million bid for Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster, according to The Sun.

The 26-year-old has already expressed his frustration at being third choice for the Premier League champions, despite being a starter for England.

Harry Redknapp is on the look out for a new keeper following Carlo Cudicini’s bike accident last week.

Foster said: “It’s very disheartening not even being on the bench at United.

“I’m third choice for United yet playing for my country. It’s a weird one and I’ll see what happens.”

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Keepers need games to get confidence, however eveytime I see him he looks vulnerable and unsure of himself. Perhaps not a wise investment to be a number 2. What is wrong with the current crop of young keepers we have on our books, for the money we invest in them is it not wise to try and promote one of these to become a number 2 and give them a chance. Else we will just end up letting them go and it makes a mockery then of our academy.
