talkSPORT pundit claims Spurs star is currently better than more selfish Liverpool player

The return of Gareth Bale has significantly boosted Jose Mourinho’s options in the attacking third of the Tottenham Hotspur squad.

While the responsibility to find the back of the net has typically relied on the shoulders of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, the arrival of the Welshman on a season long loan certainly adds another dimension to Spurs’ attack.

talkSPORT host Jason Cundy has claimed that Mourinho’s front three are the best trio the Premier League has to offer and ranked Heung-min Son as a better player than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

The trio of Bale, Kane and Son are yet to play together due to the fact that the Madrid man arrived back in North London carrying a knee injury which he picked up on international duty.

Cundy claimed that Son is a less selfish player compared to Salah and is arguably the most underrated player in the Premier League.

He told talkSPORT: “Are Tottenham’s front three the best?

“Well, Liverpool’s have been outstanding, but Firmino didn’t really hit his straps last year and with Harry Kane…

“Man United’s front three is pretty tasty on its day, but I think you could make a case for saying Spurs.

“Son is brilliant, Son is probably I think the most underrated player in the league.

“I don’t know if people really know how good he is, still. Everybody waxes lyrical about Mane and Salah, and rightly so, but nobody ever puts Son in that bracket.

“Who is better, Son or Salah, right now? Son is just brilliant, he’s excellent, they both are, but Son is less selfish than Salah.

“So I’d take Son.”
