Jose Mourinho has provided a team news update to journalists who have dialled into Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-Leicester Citypress conference from Hotspur Way this afternoon.
Such is the protocol, the media are informed of the availability of the Spurs squad ahead of Mourinho answering questions prior to the trip to the visit of Brendan Rodger’s side to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Pre-match press conferences continue to take place on the Zoom video conferencing due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions mean that journalists can no longer attend Hotspur Way in person.
Spurs will be looking to bounce back from Wednesday night’s disappointing late defeat at the hands of the now league leaders, Liverpool.
Leicester lost 2-0 at home to Everton on Wednesday after a run of three straight wins. The Foxes have lost their last three matches away to Tottenham, conceding at least three goals in each game.
Mourinho has revealed that he expects Gareth Bale to be fit after recovering from the non-COVID illness which kept him sidelined for the recent Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.
Japhet Tanganga remains sidelined along with Erik Lamela.
