Team News: Three ruled out, two doubtful and two returnees for Spurs ahead of City match

Tottenham Hotspur have provided a team news update ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Manchester City.

Spurs will return to the Etihad, the site of their Champions League heroics last night but this time attention will turn to trying to finish in the top four for another season of elite European action.

Harry Kane is still sidelined with the significant ankle injury he sustained in the first leg, while Erik Lamela (hamstring) and Moussa Sissoko (groin) are both undergoing assessment.

Lamela travelled with the Spurs squad for yesterday’s match and trained but was not included in Mauricio Pochettino’s match day sixteen.

Sissoko is considered a big doubt after he tweaked his groin towards the end of the first half of the match and despite attempting to play on, had to be replaced by Fernando Llorente.

Serge Aurier (hamstring) and Harry Winks (groin) are both ruled out, but there is good news in the shape of Eric Dier and Vincent Janssen, with the pair expected to return to first team training tomorrow.
