Team News Update: Spurs confirm three players miss the trip to Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur have provided an injury update ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Brighton in the Premier League.

Ryan Sessegnon, who is yet to play for the club following his deadline day move from Fulham is still on the comeback from his hamstring problem while Giovani Lo Celso is still not ready to return after picking up a hip problem on international duty with Argentina.

The positive news is that both players are entering the final stages of their rehabilitation.

Serge Aurier sits out the match at the Amex Stadium through suspension after picking up two bookings in the first thirty minutes of action against Crystal Palace which led to his dismissal.

Some Spurs fans will certainly not regret the Ivorian’s unavailability following his questionable performance against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night with his positional play and defensive tracking being far below the standards expected of a Tottenham player.

Spurs go into the match looking for their first away win in a competitive fixture since beating Fulham in January.
