The matches which Heung-min Son could miss after undergoing surgery

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt with the news that they will have to manage without the services of Heung-min Son over the coming weeks.

The club confirmed that the forward sustained a fracture to his right arm in the win against Aston Villa while The Athletic understands that the injury is related to his elbow.

Son picked up the injury inside the first minute of the match at Villa Park when he was knocked over by Villa defender Ezri Konsa.

Despite having to receive treatment from the Tottenham medical team he decided to play through the pain barrier and went on to score two goals in a 3-2 victory against Dean Smith’s side.

The Athletic claim that the worst case scenario for Son is an eight-week period on the sidelines.

Such a prolonged period out of action would see the South Korean miss the following matches:

Feb 19 – Champions League – RB Leipzig (H)

Feb 22 – Premier League – Chelsea (A)

Mar 1 – Premier League – Wolves (H)

Mar 4 – FA Cup – Norwich City (H)

Mar 7 – Premier League – Burnley (A)

Mar 10 – Champions League – RB Leipzig (A)

Mar 15 Premier League – Manchester United (H)

Mar 20 – Premier League – West Ham United (H)

Apr 4 – Premier League – Sheffield United (A)

Apr 15 – Premier League – Everton (H)
