Tim Sherwood outlines how Arsenal will beat Tottenham Hotspur

Tim Sherwood has claimed that Arsenal will beat Tottenham Hotspur in tomorrow’s North London derby if they play their strongest starting eleven.

Spurs have won one of their last 26 Premier League visits to Arsenal (W1 D10 L15) and a victory against their fierce rival would certainly help to lift the mood after the disappointing start to the new season.

Jan Vertonghen has yet to feature in the opening three top flight matches while Christian Eriksen has found himself watching on from the bench in the games against Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Sherwood believes that if Unai Emery selects a front three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe they will have enough to condemn Spurs to their second successive defeat.

Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe are all yet to start a top flight game together with their pace likely to be a cause for concern.

Sherwood told Premier League Productions as quoted by the Daily Express: “They need to play their best players, their most offensive players,”

“Lacazette has to play with Aubameyang and Pepe for me, you need to get Ceballos into the side because he is a fantastic young talent on loan from Real Madrid.

“They have to go on the front foot, with an identity, get all them flair, attacking players on the pitch and try and scare the opposition.

“At the moment I think that’s what’s letting him down.

“If they play their most attacking players, the best technical footballers on Sunday in the north London derby, they will beat Tottenham.

“I would play them all as a front three. I’d play Pepe on the right, I’d play Aubameyang off the left and Lacazette down the middle.

“If I’m in Tottenham’s changing room on Sunday when that team-sheet comes in I do not want to see all these three on the pitch because I think if you don’t then you’re letting them off the hook.”
