“Tired and sloppy performance” – Former Spur demands improvement for Arsenal fixture

Darren Anderton has described Tottenham Hotspur’s performance against Chelsea as tired and sloppy and called for a huge improvement ahead of the weekend.

Spurs face fierce rivals Arsenal in the North London derby on Saturday lunchtime and go into the match having lost back to back Premier League matches for the first time since September.

It was a toothless display by Mauricio Pochettino’s side against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, they lacked creativity in the final third and some of the defending was horrific.

With Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all winning their matches last night, it has some Spurs fans starting to fear that they are now in a battle to hold onto their place in the top four, whereas a few days ago they were dreaming of putting pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the table.

Anderton, who played for Spurs between 1992-2004 was not impressed by what he saw.
