Tottenham confirm exits of 12 players from the first-team and academy

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that three players from the first-team and another nine from the academy have left the club following the end of the 2022/23 season.

Lucas Moura was already known to be leaving, but Spurs have now confirmed that Clement Lenglet and Arnaut Danjuma have both returned to Barcelona and Villarreal respectively.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs make a permanent move for either of them after limited success during their loan spells in North London.

Mundle, Lenglet, and Danjuma leave Tottenham

Highly-rated youngster, Romaine Mundle, has also left the academy and has been linked with the likes of Standard Liege after rejecting a new Spurs contract (Voetbalkrant).

Jamie Bowden, Kallum Cesay, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, Roshaun Mathurin, and Marqes Muir have also departed following the conclusion of their contracts.

U18 starlets Thomas Bloxham, Brandon Bryan-Waugh and Riley Owen have also left the club.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would actually argue that Romaine Mundle is the biggest loss here. We knew Moura was leaving, and I don’t think Danjuma or Lenglet should be signed permanently. But losing another highly-rated youngster stings, after the success of Edwards and Madueke.
