Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Cup third round tie has been selected for live television coverage.
The draw for the third round was made on Monday evening and saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side drawn away from home to either Tranmere Rovers or Southport.
Spurs will find out who they will face when the replay between both sides takes place on Monday 17th December.
The winners of the match will then host Tottenham on Friday 4th January live on BT Sport 2 with a kick off time of 7.45pm GMT.
It has been ten years since Tottenham won a trophy, when they lifted the League Cup after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley while Juande Ramos was in charge of the team.
Last year, Pochettino guided his players to the semi-final of the FA Cup where they lost 2-1 to Manchester United. Dele Alli gave Spurs hope with the first goal of the game, only for United to respond to dash our hopes of silverware for another season.
