Tottenham’s worst kept secret is revealed

The worst-kept secret in recent Tottenham Hotspur history has been confirmed this afternoon after the club finally announced the Nike kit deal.

The agreement will see Nike create the Tottenham kit over a ‘multi-year’ partnership, after taking over from Under Armour who had done the job (and well in my opinion) for the past five years.

Reports earlier in the year suggested the deal could be worth three times as much as the £10million a year Under Armour contract it replaces – the fact we have Champions League football would certainly play a part in increasing the figure.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Nike, one of the world’s leading brands,” Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said in a statement confirming the deal.

“Nike is committed to partnering with us both at home, at a time when our new stadium scheme is the catalyst for the regeneration of Tottenham, and globally, with our growing fan base mirrored by Nike’s worldwide reach.”
