Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to express their dismay at Tottenham Hotspur’s penalty decision which led to their equaliser.
When Christian Eriksen whipped a right-footed free-kick into the Arsenal penalty area, Harry Kane was slightly offside which was missed by the assistant referee.
In the following moments, Kane was pushed in the back by Mustafi which led the referee to point to the penalty spot.
Harry Kane dusted himself off and stepped up to slot home his effort which proved to be vital considering Arsenal’s late penalty miss which could have given them a 2-1 win.
Supporters of Arsenal have vented their frustration which some insisting that the introduction of VAR next season cannot come quick enough which would have seen the penalty decision for Kane overruled due to the offside.
Instead, Spurs maintain their four-point advantage over their North London rivals in the race for a top four finish in the Premier League.
A game we should have won. VAR can't come soon enough.
