Jan Vertonghen has told Spurs fans that they have not seen the best of him yet.
The summer signing from Ajax has slotted well into the Spurs defence which has seen him operate at both centre-back and left-back positions.

Vertonghen has started 26 of a possible 30 matches for us in all competitions this season.
“I wanted to be ready when I came to the Premier League and I felt ready when I came to Tottenham,” he told the official Spurs site.
“I think I’ve done okay, but you haven’t seen my best yet. I think I can improve.
“I’m happy with my first six months, played a lot of games, feel the confidence of the players, staff and supporters as well.
“After six months, I think I can be happy with my performances. The fans have been very supportive, I love them as well!”
