Jan Vertonghen may not be enjoying the most successful spell of his Tottenham Hotspur career at present but he certainly still has the support of many fans.
The Spurs defender was present at UK artist Stormzy’s gig at the AB Main Hall Brussels earlier this week while enjoying some time away from London as part of the winter break.
Many of those in attendance spotted the Belgian international watching on from a second floor balcony and turned to him before chanting his name which left Vertonghen waving in acknowledgment.
The 32-year-old former Ajax player is out of contract at Tottenham this summer and as yet to be offered a new deal (Independent).
Vertonghen has made 22 appearances for Tottenham this season in all competitions, scoring one goal; the late winner against Wolves back in December (transfermarkt).
