Video: Danny Drinkwater and Alfie Devine both sent off following on-field bust-up

Wayne Burnett’s Tottenham Hotspur Under-23 side threw away a two goal lead to find themselves on the receiving end of a frustrating 3-2 defeat to Chelsea.

Tottenham raced ahead after three minutes courtesy of a goal from Jubril Okedina within three minutes and 16-year-old Dane Scarlett continued his rich vein of form when he headed past Petr Cech to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Spurs were by far the better of the two sides in the opening half, but were unable to pose the same threat after the break and gifted their opponents a route back into the match from the penalty spot through Peart-Harris.

Chelsea levelled on 63 minutes and the game saw a mass brawl ensue when Alfie Devine’s challenge on Danny Drinkwater saw the former Leicester City player kick out at the 16-year-old with both players later receiving their marching orders for their part in the incident.

Drinkwater, 30, then went head to head with Spurs striker Kion Etete, 19.

Chelsea went on to grab a winner when Peart-Harris scored his second with two minutes left on the clock.
