Tottenham Hotspur have broken the deadlock against Cardiff City courtesy of an Eric Dier goal after eight minutes.
The goal came when a cross met the head of Davinson Sanchez with his effort hitting a Cardiff City defender and the ball fell at the feet of Eric Dier who finished first time.
It’s a fantastic start for Mauricio Pochettino’s side after the disappointment against Barcelona in midweek. In so many matches this season we have started slow, so it’s certainly refreshing to see us start with a decent tempo.
Hopefully, we can kick on and get a couple more before half time to take the wind out of Cardiff’s sails.
