Tottenham Hotspur were gifted a route back into their Europa League tie against LASK from the penalty spot.
Jose Mourinho’s side had been the poorer of the two sides in the opening half with the Austrian outfit taking the lead when a shot from distance beat Joe Hart low to his left.
LASK had threatened on a number of earlier occasions after hitting the woodwork along with being denied by Hart.
With the game into a minute of additional time in the first half, the referee pointed to the penalty spot after a shot by Tanguy Ndombele was blocked by the arm of a LASK player.
Gareth Bale stepped up to give Spurs an undeserved equaliser heading into the break.
